Log IELTS: Essay 5
In many countries, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening. What are the causes of this problem, and what measures could be taken to reduce it?
The gap between the wealth and the poor has widened accross many countries, especially in developing countries. The causes is variative. However, I firmly believe that governments has the biggest contribution to this situation because they have powers to control everything in countries.
The spreadwiding of poor is usually caused by governments. This is because governments has the power to control a country but they misused it. Unfortunately, many of them use this power for their individual's wealth instead of their people needs. This make the gap between the rich and the poor is extreamly large. Indonesia is one of examples because the government prefer to protect corruptors instead of punish them. Moreover, the access to better profession is restricted because of the lack of education and information.
To encounter this economic problem, governments should be honest to their people. The solution is to create government project's funding more transparant and improve the quality of education. We can take a look at Sweden, this country is wealthy because they put education in the highest priority. The another way is adding more supports to local industries since they can absorb more workers. This approach also can increase the currency leading to increment of people's buying.
To conclude, the biggest factor of the big gap of the rich and the poor is governments' decision. By improving education quality, transparing governments' funding, and increasing the employment rate. This gap can be minimalized.
