Some people believe that technological developments lead to the loss of traditional skills and ways of life, which are an important part of our culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In an era defined by rapid proliferation of digital tools, people prefer to use advanced technology to do their work that may reduce human capabilities to do traditional skills. I firmly believe that digitalization would not remove important part of our culture since it depends on how we utilize it.

Some individuals view that technology can make people lose their abilities to do basic and survival skills. This is because it can replace human positions in doing simple and repetitive tasks more quickly and efficiently. The keyboard serves as a pertinent example of how people prefer to use this tool to write letters instead of handwriting. As a consequence, people nowadays are lazy to learn beautiful writing such as calligraphy that emerged as one of the primary drivers of traditional skills, especially in medieval ages.

On the other hand, I would argue that whether technology could extinguish cultural skills or not depends on how we take advantage from it. People who rely heavily on digital tools will slowly lose their way of life. Therefore, the most important thing is we must use this advancement to make our life easier instead of fully giving our job to it. For example, cleaning robots can help us with house chores while we can focus on more urgent work. This is how we can reap full benefits of technology without eliminating traditional cultures.

To conclude, some people are afraid that technology can remove important culture traditions in our life. However, it would not happen if we use it just to help our life. Therefore, it is important how we use this advancement properly.
