Some people believe that they have a huge number of benefits while others argue that they have a negative impact. I firmly believe that social media has a adverse outcome. However, it can be covered by their advantageous.

Social media platforms have fundamentally altered the way human being connected with one another. Before the phenomenon of the internet, people had to travel for a long distance just to send a message. Nowadays, this kind of technology has significantly bypassing these boundaries by creating communication more effective. For example, social media platforms like WhatsApp, allow us to instantly send a text to our family anytime and anywhere. Moreover, we can send a picture, our current location, even voice chat that make interaction more fun.

On the other hand, some people view that social media platforms have a detrimental effect on relationship quality. Proponents argue that the excessive use of social media could reduce quality time with other people because face-to-face communication is considered one of the best way to increase intimacy. For example, research in social psychology consistently suggests that individuals who rely heavily on online interaction report higher levels of loneliness and lower relationship satisfactions. However, this is depends on how we use them since social media can make communication between individuals flawlessly.

To conclude, social media platforms have a lot of beneficial impacts since we can efficiently communicate with our friends or family faster. However, we should control the use of them since they can reduce our relationship quality if we utilize them improperly.
